Time

Hey guys,

So I’m going to keep it brief for NaBloPoMo Day 6. I haven’t had quite the busy day but was having an idea about creating a piece on time.

Time,  a steady constant in all our lives. Though we often talk about making time for things this is a rather false idea. We perceive it to be so, because of our experiences in any given moment of time. Some days it drags and others it flies by.  But the reality? Time never gives us any such allowances in life. It propels along to its own tune and takes us on a journey with it. 

Events in our lives simply happen at a point in time and we must adapt to it. We contemplate, we mourn, we rejoice. But even that is bound by the restrictions of time. Before long, wether we will or not, we are embroiled in a new occurrence. It is time that seems in control of our lives.  Have we not all seen it in simple matters such as ageing? Were any of us done with our teens, twenties or thirties? We have no choice but to accept the passage of time and move with it as we choose.  Thus says Gandalf, in Lord of the Rings: “all we have to  decide is what to do with the time that is given to us”.
